About Me

My name is Amy, and I currently live in the Daytona Beach, FL area.  I am originally from Richmond, Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech.  I am a HUGE fan of everything Virginia Tech, especially Hokie football!

That's my husband, Joe.  We got married on June 30, 2012 after meeting on a cruise in March 2009 and dating for more than 3 years.

He's from Florida but is a huge Georgia Bulldog fan!  He's also studying to be a chiropractor, which is why we are living in Daytona Beach.  Doesn't bother me, because the beach is one of my favorite places! :)

After teaching for three years, I am now a math coach in two high schools.  That means I work with teachers to increase their students' achievement in math!  I absolutely love it and hope that I can make a positive impact on the students!

When I have free time, I like to run, read, cook/bake, spend time with Joe, catch up with friends and watch game shows.

About the Blog
Run with Perseverance began in September 2012 when I decided to sign up for a half marathon.  In addition to beginning a training schedule for the race, I also wanted to re-commit myself to my faith and making my relationship with God a priority.

The blog documents my daily pursuits of healthy food, fitness, and faith.  I'll share recipes, workouts, and devotions that I love, as well as aspects of my personal life I think y'all might enjoy.

Note: I respect everyone of all religions and beliefs, but I will be posting about my Christian beliefs.  I do not do this to offend anyone at all.  It's merely a big part of my life, and one of the reasons I started this blog, so it's hard not to share it here.  If I ever say anything that offends you, please do not hesitate to email me and let me know.
