Friday Five: Things That are Making Me Happy This Week

This week has been a little busy when it comes to computer time.  I've been working on a "freelance" project where I am creating online tutorials for a website.  It's pretty cool to be chosen for it (only a few teachers in the whole state where chosen!), but it sure is time consuming.

That being said, I'll be done with this project by Monday and will have the time to dedicate to the blog and some more thought-out posts.  Until then, I'm linking up today with Courtney, Cynthia, and Mar for a Friday Five post!
This week's theme is "Things that Make You Happy."  So, I thought I'd share some things specific to this week that have been making me happy :)

1. Sore Muscles
Seriously, I have been LOVING the feeling of sore muscles after my 21 Day Fix workouts each day!  It feels so good to be strength training again (as well as running!), and the sore muscle feeling is definitely making me happy :)

2. Baby Smiles
This should come as no surprise, but I cannot even explain the feeling I get when I look at Baby Fish and she gets so happy and smiles back.  It just melts my heart, and we then keep going back and forth smiling at each other.

3. How I Met Your Mother Reruns
I've discovered that FX is replaying 4-6 episodes of How I Met Your Mother each day.  I've already seen the whole series, but I'm enjoying taping these reruns and watching them while feeding Baby Fish.  Such a funny show!

4. Mid-week Dinner Dates
Last night, Joe and I went to a winery for dinner!  He was working out of town yesterday, so we met at the winery (with Baby Fish, of course) and enjoyed a nice dinner!  It made me happy to have such an enjoyable meal in the middle of the week.  Normally, that's a weekend type thing!

5. My Running Pace
I didn't expect when I came back to running to easily return my normal pace.  I even face a new challenge running in our new neighborhood--hills!--and have been running at my normal pace, if not a little bit faster.  I, of course, want to work to increase my speed, but I just didn't expect my pace to return to normal so soon!

Question for you:  What's been making you happy this week?

I hope you have a great weekend!  I'm looking forward to a weekend of relaxing at home, finishing up this tutorial project, and celebrating Joe's first Father's Day!

  1. How fun! A date night at a winery. I have never really watched How I Met Your Mother but now that I know they are on FX often maybe I will start.

  2. Baby Fish is adorable. A winery dinner date sounds fabulous. That is a great pace, especially since you are just getting back to it!
