Post-Holiday Run + HBBC Week 1 Recap

While I didn't get in a run while I was at my grandparents, I made it a priority to complete my long run for the week when we got home today.

I needed to do 6.5 to keep up with my half marathon training.  I set out with a route in mind, and at about mile 2. 5 I was ready to be done.  I went a different way in order to cut my run down, but at about mile 3.1, I decided to power through and finish the 6.5 miles.
I finished in 1:10.18, and I'm very pleased with that!  It's an average pace of 10:49, and for a run that I wanted to cut in half, I'd say that's pretty good!

Holiday Bootie Buster Challenge-Week 1
While I didn't exercise Friday and Saturday, I did get in my 7+ fruits and veggies on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  Here's my weekly log for the challenge:
33.5 points for the week isn't too shabby!  Add in the 3 bonus points I earned for some pre-challenge social media posts, and I've got 36.5 points so far.

Week 2 goals:
-Eat 7+ servings of fruits/veggies for 5/7 days (ideally, it'd be 7/7, but I'm giving myself some wiggle room).
-Go straight to the gym after school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
-Complete at least 3 runs this week for my half-marathon training schedule.
-Complete the WOW for Week 2

I'm really enjoying this challenge, as it provides great motivation to stick to an exercise routine.  It's also great to have so many people involved that keep me accountable via the Facebook group and by looking at their points.

Well, I've got to get some more planning done for the week.  Enjoy the last of your holiday weekend, and have a great Monday!
