WIAW #4: Crazy Week

Hey, everyone!  This week has been CRAZY busy for me!  I started off behind due to our awesome weekend in Tampa and haven't been able to catch up.  Therefore, the blog has suffered because of it.  After today, though, I should be good to go!

It's time for another What I Ate Wednesday!  Thank you to Jenn for hosting the link-up.   Check out her page to see what WIAW is all about.

Today's post features Tuesday's meals.

Breakfast

I was out of my usual cereal, so I scrambled some eggs and ate them along with some grapes.  It was a great breakfast (nice change from the norm) and kept me full until lunch time!

Lunch
I ate a 6-inch Subway sandwich and forgot to take a picture of it!  The fixings: parmasen oregano bread, turkey, American cheese, spinach, tomato, onions, and green peppers.  I bought a footlong on Monday and saved the other half for Tuesday's lunch.  Good thing, too, because we had very few lunch fixin's in the house before the grocery store run Tuesday afternoon!
My sandwich looked much like this one!

Afternoon Snack

Had to go to the grocery store, so I picked up these babies for a little pick-me-up during the crazy week.  I split the bag with Joe and we both enjoyed the treat.

Dinner
I made a very simple baked chicken with brown rice and broccoli.  I was so busy serving up the meal that I forgot, once again, to photograph it!  I'll have to share this recipe because it is so easy and delicious!

Evening Snack

I was craving something sweet and needed a pick-me-up (again) from some news I got in the afternoon and all the work for school I was still working on in the evening.  This mug brownie did the trick!  I used 3 tbsp of sugar instead of 4, and it was pretty perfect.

And there you have it!  What I ate yesterday.  Hopefully next week's post will be more picture-full and may even include a recipe!

Question for you: What's your favorite Subway sandwich?
My favorite is the tuna, but I usually get turkey or chicken.  Joe and I will split a footlong, and he's not a fan of the tuna.

  1. I always get a veggie on flatbread with all the veggies they have. My fave! I love microwave brownies, they always hit the spot!

    1. Their flatbread is quite tasty. I had it on the breakfast sandwich once...it may need to make an appearance at lunch next time!

  2. Oh i used to eat subway ALL the time. I have made it less in recent years, but when I do go I like the chicken sandwich with every veggie possible and a little honey mustard.

    1. I know, I could eat Subway almost everyday! Not so nice on the wallet, though :)

  3. I got myself in trouble with those brownies for a couple of weeks. First I would only have one on the weekend, then one each weekend day, then once during the week, then twice during the week. I had cut down to 1/2 a mug when I had it more frequently, but I was happy to run out of cocoa powder!

As for Subway, I usually get chicken. But lately the tuna has been rocking my world! Tuna on honey oat with a bunch of lettuce, cucumbers, onions and green peppers, yum!

    1. The tuna on honey oat is an awesome combination! I really try and only do the mug brownie once or twice a month. I'm almost out of cocoa powder now, so I may need to keep that off the grocery list :)
