Guess what? I have another Crock Pot Recipe to share with you! This is new recipe #6 for me in the Crock Pot Challenge and is a little different than the others I posted. The others have been "set-it-and-forget-it" recipes, and this one requires some preparation.
The dish is called Sweet and Saucy Chicken. I found the recipe on the blog Chef in Training, and you can click here for the recipe.

Before putting everything in the Crock Pot, I made the sauce. This took about 5-10 minutes to bring it to a boil. Afterward, I poured the sauce over the chicken in the crock pot, let it cool off for a few minutes, then set the temperature to "low."
Warning: Only cook this for about 6 hours on low! I've left past crock pot recipes in for 8+ hours and they've been fine. Unfortunately, this one is not. I burned the chicken and the sauce :( The flavor was good, but obviously not as great as it could have been. My bad!
I recommend trying this recipe, and I'll probably make it again. Just be sure not to overcook it, though!
My gym bag has been sitting in the back seat of my car, waiting to be used after school. Well today, it finally made it out of the car!
I went straight to the YMCA after school today to get Workout A done from Tina's Best Body Bootcamp. I'm loving these pyramid sets, and Tina threw in an extra round for this week. Hooray! I also ran on the treadmill for 20 minutes. Luckily, my new shoes and dedication to stretching are keeping my heel feeling good. No pain lately! Another Hooray!
I'm so glad I went to the gym right after school. Although I have some chores to get done, I feel like I've got a free evening! It's much more relaxing that planning on heading to the gym around 8 p.m. I'm planning on getting to the gym after school tomorrow for some cardio and core work.
I had a realization this week. My commitment to my faith is all about one thing: PRIORITIES. I can want to reignite my faith all I want, but unless I make it a priority and something I'm willing to dedicate time to, it's not going to happen. I can't just wish my relationship with God to grow stronger, I need to actually DO something to make it grow stronger.
It's just like any friendship. The friendships we cherish the most are the ones we're going to make a priority. My relationship with God is something that I cherish, but I haven't made it a priority. Therefore, we've drifted. God hasn't gone anywhere; I'm the one who moved.
After making this realization on Sunday, I've made it a priority to open up my Bible before bed. I've been reflecting on the verse I've read and praying about them. I've really enjoyed these times with God and making my relationship with Him a priority.
Question for you: Are you a morning/after work/evening work-out person?
Sorry for the lack of pictures this post. There will be more tomorrow, promise :)
Of course! Love your style
