4-Course Meal + Abs + Repeated Messages

Hi, everyone!

I always struggle with how to open the blog, and it's good to know I'm not alone as Katie from Peace, Love, and Oats mentioned that yesterday in her post.

Some news before I get to the usual stuff: I have signed up for the 28-Day Blog Challenge!  The goal of the challenge is to "spend time reworking, refreshing and rethinking our blogs, social media spaces, community and more."  I've been thinking this week about making some changes to improve my blog, and I find this the perfect opportunity to do that!

I'm open to suggestions

On to my usual stuff from Thursday and Friday...

Diet Tip of the Day
I wanted to share with you about my lunch yesterday.

The culinary department at the school I teach at has a monthly meal for teachers.  I've never participated in this meal before, but the menu really interested me this time.

I placed my order, and this food got delivered to me during lunch.

Let me just say, WOW.  Everything was DELICIOUS!  All the food was fresh and flavorful, and I cleared my plate!  I definitely need the recipe for the Fresh Tomato Salad.  I asked the teacher for the recipe, and I will share it with y'all when/if I get it.

Today's Training
Yesterday, I got in a core workout doing the Beach Abs workout on the Beach Babe by Tone It Up workout DVD.
It was a great ab workout, and you're done in 15 minutes!  I loved the exercises, and you switch moves up about every minute.  The only thing I don't like is that the camera angle changes sometimes, and it would throw me off rhythm with the instructor.

I decided to take the day off to gear up for my 13 mile training run.  I can't believe that the half marathon is in 3 weeks!  I'm looking forward to the race, but I'm also nervous about making sure my heel stays pain-free before/during the race.

Faith Find
After Wednesday's post about prayer, I found it fitting that my quote-of-the-day calendar had this quote on it on Thursday:
"Take time to pray--it is the greatest power source in the world."

Then, today on Twitter, I saw that Max Lucado (a favorite Christian author of mine) posted that he was  beginning a sermon series about prayer called Your Best 10 Minutes.  I will most definitely be subscribing to these podcasts, and I'm very excited to learn more about prayer.

I feel like receiving this same message over and over again is quite a sign that I need to really work on praying!  I'm excited to focus on this part of my life and deepening my relationship with God!

Question of the Day: What's something you'd like to see on my blog/a way I can improve my blog?

Any repeated messages coming your way lately?

I've got big plans this weekend for a 13 mile run, lots of reading, and getting our apartment packed up for the move!  Hope y'all have a great one :)
