Ok, on to the post....

Today's post is a little bit different than usual.  That's because Courtney nominated me for the Liebster Award!  I was incredibly flattered when she let me know, and I'm happy to pass the award along.
The Liebster Award is for up and coming bloggers with fewer than 200 followers.  Liebster is German for sweetest, kindest, nicest, lovely, kind, and pleasant.  I feel so honored that someone thought to pass this along to me.

The Rules:
1. Post 11 random facts about yourself.
2. Answer the 11 questions the person who nominated you asked, plus create 11 questions for the people you nominate.
3. Nominate 11 people and link them to your post.
4. Contact them and let them know.
5. No tag-backs.

11 Random Facts
1. I love game shows.  The Game Show Network is usually on our TV at least once a day.
2. I was born with six fingers on my left hand.  It was just hanging on by a thread, so they cut it off when I was only a few hours old.
3. Dream Vacations: Australia and a Mediterranean Cruise
4. Even though I'm a math teacher, I think I'm a little dyslexic.  I switch numbers around ALL THE TIME.
5. Speaking of math, I'm a huge nerd.  I enjoy doing math problems for no reason, and I get really excited teaching math.
6. Even though I'm a math nerd, I love to read, too!
7. My favorite body part to work out is my core.
8. I have a lot of great ideas I'd love to do, but I'm really bad at following through.
9. I entered college as a Theater major, but graduated with a Math degree.
10. I'm not good at calling my friends to catch up.  I am good at letting them know when i'll be in town so we can see each other, but after teaching all day, I don't really want to call people and talk.  It makes me feel like a bad friend, but we have such strong friendships that we pick right up where we left off.
11. At times, I can be very OCD about cleanliness and organization, and at others, I can be the most

11 Questions to Answer
1. Explain how your blog came about.
Run with Perseverance came about when a friend posted on Facebook about the Disney Princess Half Marathon.  I checked out the link, thought it looked like fun, and decided to sign up to run my first half marathon!  As I committed to living a more healthy lifestyle, I knew that meant I needed to commit to a healthier faith, as well.  The blog was the document my training and keep me accountable.  It's somewhat evolved since then, but that's how it started!

2. What is your favorite thing about blogging?
My favorite thing about blogging is taking more pictures in my daily life.  I want to have pictures in my posts, so I try and document my day with my camera.  I used to be really good at taking pictures, then I stopped.  Blogging is making me pull out my camera more often, and I love it!

3. What's one thing you've learned about yourself since beginning your blog?
I've learned that I can be really critical of myself.  While I'm honest about my successes and failures, I feel like I'm quite to point out and harp on my failures rather than my successes.  I need to work on that!

4. What or who inspires you?
I'm inspired by people who care about others and treat others with respect.  It makes me feel like there is some hope for our world, and that we all aren't just selfish creatures too busy to notice the needs of others.

5. What's your favorite season?
Summer and early Fall.  I love the warmth and all the travel during summertime, but I also love the start of football season in early fall!

6. What fashion pieces do you consider a must-have for every closet?
A pair of black pumps, a dress that flatters you,

7. What beauty product could you not live without?
Mascara.  I feel naked without it.

8. What does your dream home look like?
A big picture window overlooking a gorgeous view, a very large walk-in closet (think Carrie's in the Sex and the City movie), a garage, plenty of storage space, and some sort of jacuzzi tub in a large bathroom.

9. If you could switch lives with anyone (from the past or current day) who would it be and why?
Idina Menzel when she was performing in Wicked.  I would love to star in a Broadway musical, and I think Elphaba would be a great role to play!

10. What would be your tip for new bloggers?
Blog for YOU, not for readers.  If you enjoy your blog and blogging, then don't get discouraged or too wrapped up with the number of readers.

11. Describe yourself in five words.
Christian. Nerdy. Active. Forgetful. Caring.
