June 30, 2012 was a big day in my life.
It's the day that Joe and I got married! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and I couldn't ask for a better husband. I plan on doing a series of posts this week about the wedding, but for now, here are a few pictures from our wedding:

So naturally, Joe and I spent yesterday celebrating our first year of marriage! The original plan was to go to Universal Studios in Orlando, but the weather wasn't exactly cooperating. We changed our plans around a little bit, and it was still a great day.
We went to see White House Down in the afternoon. I really, really enjoyed this movie! It was suspenseful, and there was plenty of action to keep Joe happy without overdoing it. I definitely recommend going to see it!
After the movie, we headed to Stonewood Grill for dinner.
Joe ordered Pot Roast, and I ordered Blackened Chicken Pasta. They also bring out pretzel rolls before your meals, which makes the restaurant a winner in my book! We both very much enjoyed our meals and each other's company. Our waiter hooked us up on the wine front, so we decided to take some pictures with it.
When we got home, we continued the celebration with a dessert wine we picked up at Tangled Oaks Vineyard and our wedding cake topper. We lit our one-year anniversary candles we received as a shower gift (more on this at a later time) and used some adorable custom wine glasses we received as a wedding gift.
Surprisingly, our cake was very tasty! My mom did a great job of freezing it for a year. We spent the rest of the evening just watching movies on TV.
While everything we did is very normal for us, I really enjoyed the time we spent together made extra special by the occasion.
Question for you: What do you do to celebrate a special occasion?
I'll see y'all later today for a Best Body Bootcamp Week 2 recap! We'll be back to the regular posts tomorrow.
